About CheapTraveleSIM

CheapTraveleSIM is an independent price tracker that compares official eSIM prices from 4 providers -- Nomad, Saily, Airalo, Holafly -- across 208+ countries. Every plan is ranked cheapest-first so travelers never overpay for data abroad.

Why we built this

Travel data pricing is opaque. The same 3GB eSIM for Japan costs $4.50 on one provider and $13.50 on another. Marketing makes it worse: "unlimited" plans hide fair-use caps, "deals" inflate the original price. We built CheapTraveleSIM because we kept overpaying on our own trips and thought other travelers deserved better. One principle drives the site: sort by price, show the cheapest first, badge the winner. No sponsored placements. No pay-to-win. Just math.

How we make money

We earn affiliate commissions when you buy through our links. This never changes our rankings -- the cheapest plan always ranks first regardless of which provider pays more. Our incentives are aligned: the more accurate our price data, the more travelers trust the site, the more purchases flow through our links. Read how we calculate rankings in our methodology.

How we verify prices

We pull official published prices from each provider weekly. All prices convert to USD for fair comparison. When a price changes, we update immediately. Every destination page (for example Japan or Thailand) shows the exact per-GB breakdown alongside the full plan table. Read the complete process on our methodology page.
