What each offer leaves you paying per gigabyte
Rates are each provider's median 5 GB plan per GB across 42 destinations, prices read 30 Oct 2026. Day-priced plans convert at the 1.5 GB per day trip standard this site prices everything against.
| Provider | List rate | Published offer | Per GB after it |
|---|---|---|---|
| HelloRoam | $2.06/GB | No standing code | $2.06/GB |
| Airalo | $2.20/GB | up to $5 off | $2.20/GB |
| Nomad | $2.40/GB | up to 20% off | $1.92/GB |
| Saily | $2.60/GB | up to 10% off | $2.34/GB |
| Holafly | $3.93/day | 5% off | $2.49/GB |
Rates are each provider's median 5 GB plan per GB (Holafly: 7-day unlimited plan per day), prices read 30 Oct 2026. Offers can be withdrawn without notice, so confirm the final price at checkout.
ALOHA is the only Airalo code with a published source
Airalo runs two separate savings programmes and publishes both. ALOHA is a new-user code entered at checkout, worth up to $5 off a first purchase. Airmoney is a loyalty balance that returns 5 to 10% of each order for the next one. Every other "Airalo code" circulating online is either one of those two restated under a different name or an invention. This page prints neither a second code nor a bigger figure, because Airalo publishes neither.
The two programmes work on different parts of the receipt. ALOHA is a flat cut taken once, so the larger the order the smaller the share it removes. Measured against Airalo's $2.20/GB median rate, the ALOHA ceiling is worth 2.3 gigabytes of data. Airmoney is a percentage, so it scales with the order, and it arrives as credit on the next purchase rather than money off this one.
The code changes the first bill and not the rate
A discount code and a price are different things, and a per-gigabyte tracker has to keep them apart. Airalo's median 5 GB plan rate is $2.20/GB. ALOHA does not change that rate; it removes a fixed amount from one order. HelloRoam's is $2.06/GB with no code at all, which is $0.14 per gigabyte below Airalo before either side discounts anything.
That gap is the part a coupon page normally leaves out. On a ten-gigabyte order at those median rates, the difference between the two comes to $1.40. ALOHA covers that gap on a first order; on every later order the gap stays and the code does not. Applying every published discount at its stated ceiling reorders the five providers to Nomad, then HelloRoam, then Airalo, then Saily, then Holafly.
A currency conversion can hand part of any discount back to the bank
Airalo's site showed a currency picker on 30 Oct 2026; how many currencies its checkout bills in was not read. A card that settles in a currency the checkout does not bill in converts the charge, and the issuing bank adds 2 to 4 percent for doing it. That markup lands on top of whatever ALOHA already took off. The code is taken once and a markup is taken on every converted order.
HelloRoam bills checkout in 31 currencies through Stripe, with Apple Pay and Google Pay express checkout on the website and in the app. For a card in one of those currencies, that is the one saving on this page that needs no code and no timing, and it applies on every order rather than the first one.
Fourteen days is the shortest window to undo a discounted purchase
A cheap plan you cannot return is not cheap. Airalo refunds an unactivated eSIM for 14 days, the shortest window of the five providers tracked here. HelloRoam and Holafly both hold 180 days, and Nomad and Saily hold 30. Buying early to catch a sale is only sensible when the refund window outlasts the gap before the trip.
The interaction matters more than either fact alone. Airalo's cashback rewards buying often, and its refund window punishes buying early, so the two programmes pull in opposite directions for anyone whose plans move. On the published rubric this site scores every provider against, Airalo finishes 5.3 out of 10 and ranks 5 of 5, with the refund and rate columns doing most of that damage.
Where the networks sit behind an Australian eSIM
Airalo's published carrier partners include SoftBank in Japan, EE across the United Kingdom and T-Mobile in the United States. An Airalo e-SIM attaches to a host operator in each market rather than running a network of its own, which is true of every provider on this page.
For Australia, the destination behind a large share of Airalo promo searches, the first-party operator list names 2 local operators: Optus and Telstra. That list was captured 17 August 2026, is not a speed test, and does not say which of the two a given handset selects. Across the whole dataset it names 154 distinct operators over 185 destinations.
How a code gets onto this page
One rule explains why this page is short on codes: a promotional figure appears here only when the provider publishes it. ALOHA carries Airalo's own conditions, which are new users only, entered at checkout, on an offer Airalo can change. Nothing on this page was redeemed, timed or tested by anyone, and no page on this site claims otherwise.
A build check enforces that rather than trusting an author to remember it. Every promotional figure in the source tree is compared against one file, and a figure that file does not publish stops the build. The practical effect is that a code cannot be invented here even by accident. Confirm the final number at checkout, because an offer can be withdrawn on the day it is read.

Discount pages for the other four providers
All five offers on one page: eSIM promo codes. Provider scores and the bands behind them: provider rankings. Every destination sorted by price: price per GB.
The five providers ranked, and the rubric behind the ranking
Every score on this page is computed from five weighted categories, each scored on a published band table: the rate you pay (median prices read 30 Oct 2026), the refund window, checkout currencies, destination count and support channels. Nothing is hand-set per provider, and there is no user-rating population behind any number here. The full band tables are on the price methodology page.
